Lohan pleaded not guilty on Tuesday, May 4 during a virtual court arraignment in Nassau County. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison.
On Jan. 11, 2020, Lohan allegedly attempted to flee the scene of a crash outside an Outback Statehouse at the Merrick Mall before she was tracked down by her victim at her North Merrick home and arrested by police.
Lohan, age 58, was indicted on felony charges that include driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident.
When she was arrested, it is alleged that Lohan was found in the driver’s seat of her Mercedes with the engine on with the smell of alcohol on her breath, glassy eyes, and her speech was slurred.
It is alleged that as she attempted to get out of her vehicle, Lohan fell to the ground and accused the officer of pushing her while claiming she only had one glass of wine.
According to reports, the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office previously recommended Lohan receive a sentence of six months of incarceration followed by five years of probation.
Lohan is due back in court on Wednesday, June 16.
